Donation in Memory of Denis Rowse
Product Description
Thank you for your Donation, as a Non-Profit Community Service Cooperative, MMC Shames Mountain accepts donations and contributions from individuals, and businesses. We would like to thank you all in advance for your consideration. To donate to MMC Shames Mountain simply add the $1 donation product to your basket and change the quantity to your desired amount.
Denis (Big D, Black Diamond Denis) Rowse was one of the first in line to ski Shames Mountain when it opened and to buy shares in “My Mountain Co-op” when the community took over the hill as well as showing up for work parties in the off season. Perhaps the oldest person to ever ski Shames, he only stopped after breaking his leg going off a small jump near the chalet. He and his family have always used the hill as their main source of winter fun with his wife Charlotte (96 years young) still threatening to strap on the boards and go for a run. Denis loved everything about the hill, the community that exists there, the runs (AOT in particular), Tailgate parties, the champagne power and the infamous slush cup at the end of each season.
All donated funds in Denis’ memory will be used to support the general operations of Shames mountain as a non-profit co-op. In addition, a grant will be set up to subsidize under privileged youth to start a new sport – skiing at Shames.
Black Diamond Denis – keep on shredding and ask the powder gods to send us some champagne powder.
